MIKE HIGGINS,

                                producer

"I met Mike Higgins in the late 90's, when I was working at Rick's Music World of Raynham, Massachusetts.  Mike and I hit it off pretty quickly, having discovered we were both Beatle-freaks.  We had a lot in common, musically.  We grew up listening to the same kinds of things.  Mike is an amazing musician.  He is truly a master on the guitar.  It was always inspiring to watch and hear him play.  He's got cd's of his own music out there, and it is really beautiful stuff.

"At a point when it looked like I would not be able to finish "A Puppet's Palace," Mike graciously offered to let me finish the cd at his studio, the Zone, in Taunton, Mass.  He could have been spending his time with a paying customer, but he insisted that I get the cd finished.  We didn't have a lot of time to finish this thing, and I think it helped in some ways, because some things would happen very spontaneously.  Mike was really good at that.  He would say, "Use a wah pedal here, like this" (and demonstrate what he meant), and it would be perfect for that spot.  He is also a Beatles' fan, and he understands the Beatles' music, and their sound, and he understood what I was trying to do.   He came up with great suggestions.

"Mike is a wonderful person to be around.  He has a tremendous command of language and uses it in the most humorous ways.  His sharp observations and quick wit often had me in tears, and it was a wonderful pleasure to be able to work with him."
